Tax Credit Qualifications for The American Recovery & Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009

Windows & Doors must meet a U Factor and Solar Heat Gain
Coefficient of 0.30 to qualify for $1500 Tax Credit

NOT ALL ENERGY STAR WINDOWS WILL QUALIFY FOR TAX CREDIT!!!

• Must be placed in service from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.
• Must be for tax payers primary residence.
• Tax credit is equal to 30% of cost of windows only with maximum amount of $1500.
• Save the Energy Star labels from the windows showing U factor and SHGC of .30 or lower.
• Beware of window sales people scams saying windows above .30 qualify—they do not!
